Wondering if you're experiencing anything paranormal? Want to figure out what's explainable and what's not? Here's a method to help you gather evidence:
Sense
The first and primary way to learn about anything, including the paranormal, is to use your senses. It takes practice tuning your senses to see details you otherwise would miss. With practice, ears, eyes, nose and other senses can be honed in to pick up changes in the world. Focusing on details increases ability.
Connect By making connections between things you've sensed, you learn to validate or disprove unexplained events. If you notice a moaning sound every time the wind blows, you can make the connection that the phenomenon isn't likely paranormal.
Ask
When your senses aren't enough to solve a paranormal mystery, asking can do the trick. Not only should you ask people who have had experiences, but all types of research help you learn more about the situation. Ask through reading, both online and in great books. Find out as much as you can about an area.
Reason
Use your reasoning skills to help you solve paranormal problems. If you start by assuming that all phenomena can be explained, you can disprove many false pieces of evidence. Your ability to think through situations will allow you to overcome fear while not putting yourself in danger. It is essential that researchers use reasoning skills.
Experiment
When all else fails, learn about the paranormal through experimenting. Be as scientific as possible so that your evidence isn't contaminated. Set up situations, try things out, and don't give up until you have your answers. Experimenting should be your last resort, but it can be a valuable one.
